I hereby advise my fellow Muslims everywhere, whether they are government officials, or common subjects, to fear Allaah (Exalted be He) in all matters, since it is the Advice of Allaah (Exalted be He) and of His Trustworthy Prophet (peace be upon him). Allaah (Glorified and Exalted be He) says: And verily, We have recommended to the people of the Scripture before you, and to you (O Muslims) that you (all) fear Allaah He (Exalted be He) also says, O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Aadam) The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to advise his Ummah during his sermons to fear Allaah. Taqwaa (fear or wariness of offending Allaah) is an all-inclusive term that sums up the elements of Islam, and ensures the protection of one’s interests in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. It embraces the entire religion. It implies righteousness, Eemaan (belief), Islaam, guidance, and uprightness. Allaah (Exalted be He) has named His Religion “Taqwaa”, since the one who adheres to and persists in it, Allaah will protect him from evil consequences in worldly life and in the Hereafter.
