Ruling on saying Allaahu Akbar after Salaah loudly and in unison at all times

Question 475: What is the ruling on some people who say Takbeer (saying: “Allaahu Akbar [Allaah is the Greatest]”) after Salaah loudly and collectively?

Answer: Saying Takbeer collectively after congregational prayer or at other times is impermissible as it is an act of Bidd`ah (innovation in religion). It is permissible to remember Allaah (Glorified and Exalted be He) sub-vocally and each on his ownby Tahleel (saying: “Laa ilaahaa illaa Allaah [There is no God except Allaah]”), Tasbeeh (saying: “Subhaan Allaah [Glory be to Allaah]”), Takbeer (saying: “Allaahu Akbar [Allaah is the Greatest]”), reciting Qur’aan, and Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness from Allaah), acting upon the Saying of Allaah (Exalted be He) more here.
