What is the ruling on the Du‘aa’ said at the 14th night of Sha‘baan?

Question 488: What is the Du‘aa’ (supplication) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is reported to have said during the night of mid-Sha‘baan? Is it Sunnah (supererogatory act of worship following the example of the Prophet) to gather in Masjids (mosques) during this night, say a special Du‘aa’, and seek to draw closer to Allaah by performing good deeds?

Answer: There is not any authentic evidence that supports making a special Du‘aa’ or act of worship on the fifteenth night of Sha‘baan.
