Du’aa’ after Khatm al-Qur’aan ascribed to Shaykh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah

Question 105: Is Du`aa’ Khatm Al-Qur’aan (supplication upon completing the reading of the entire Qur’aan) that is ascribed to the Shaykh of Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah valid? According to the Sunnah, what should be done upon completing a Khatmah (one complete reading of the entire Qur’aan)?

Answer: We know of no authentic foundation for ascribing this Du`aa’ to the Shaykh of Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah. Furthermore, we did not read it in any of his books. However, it is widely ascribed to him. We do not know of anything wrong with it.
