Recitation of the Qur’an by a Junub (in minor impurity)

Question 23: Yesterday we were discussing whether it is permissible for a person who is ritually impure to recite the Qur’aan from memory or from books containing some Aayahs (Qur’aanic verses). Allaah (Glorified be He) says: Which (that Book with Allaah) none can touch but the purified. What is the ruling on this issue?

Answer: Any Muslim who wants to touch the Mus-haf (copy of the Qur’aan) should be pure from major or minor ritual impurity. Minor ritual impurity involves all acts that necessitate performing Wudoo’ (ablution).
